Mediterranean

Mediterranean Revival architecture was first introduced to the United States about the end of the nineteeth century, and was popular during the 1920's and 1930's.  Architects Bertram Goodhue, Sumner Spaulding and Paul Williams helped popularize this style on the west coast, while August Geiger and Addison Mizner did likewise in Florida.  Mediterranean Revival is characterized by multi-story, rectangular floorplans, massive symmetrical facades. Stuccoed wall surfaces, terra cotta and tile roofs, arches and parapet walls all are complimented by AIW door and window designs. Our engineering and installation team assure that AIW product fits perfectly into the Mediterranean style of architectural.
